- The Ross
March 23, 2020
Bookings at Ross of Mull Bunkhouse for 2020 are now affected by interventions from the Scottish Government regarding the Coronavirus epidemic. On March 22nd the Scottish Government stated:
“To our hotels, B&Bs and self-catering accommodation – you should not be accepting visitors”
“Ferries will be for those who live on our islands, who have an essential need to travel to or from the mainland and for essential supplies or business. Nothing else.”
It is therefore clear that the Ross of Mull Bunkrooms are unable to receive guests until further notice. This intervention will help protect our guests and the people in our local community from the Covid-19 infection.
Guests with a current booking
For our current guests whose bookings are affected by the Government's actions on Covid-19, we regret that deposits made at the time of booking are non-refundable as per our terms and conditions. We are however, prepared to transfer deposits to a booking at a future date in 2020 and 2021, subject to availability. Alternatively, we can cancel the booking and guests can reclaim the value of their deposit from their travel insurance.
We will reopen as soon as we can
We are hoping to be open again in the late summer and autumn of 2020, but this will depend on any further interventions from the Scottish and UK Governments. We will not open if this puts the health of our guests and the people in our local community at risk. Once it is safe to do so, we will be welcoming guests at the Ross of Mull Bunkrooms, to enjoy the beautiful Ross of Mull and Iona once more.
